Philosophy

(Revised June 2004)

We, at St. Joseph School, believe that we are all called to live with God as the center of our lives, having Jesus as our role model, so that we may one day attain eternal life.

We exist to educate the whole child; spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially realizing each one’s uniqueness and value as a child of God.

We strive to develop a feeling of self worth in our students, encouraging each one to respond to the challenge of achieving their highest potential both academically and ethically.

We aim to prepare our students for a place in today’s world, helping them to appreciate and tolerate the differences in others by teaching them to work together and develop a sense of responsibility to themselves and toward others.

We believe that the teachers of our school should model the Gospel values enabling our students to learn by word as well as example.

We realize that a school cannot succeed without trust and support from the home, hence, we encourage parental involvement and communication.

We do all these things for the betterment of our children and to teach them to walk in the ways of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
